What to build with $1000

Ok. First things first.

i just want to bash. and i dont like badlands.
i have a 1210i charger for this project. thats all. i was thinking a g2r revo with the v1 slipperential, assuming mike can still make one. wabash and masher wheels and tires? neu 1512? i want vg accel and as few wheelies as possible. quark 80a? 4s lipo? 6s? sooo many questions..... just suggest away....

if it doesnt have to be a truck you could do a hyper 7 conversion, they are pretty cheap and it would leave you some extra money to spend on electronics

BrianG 01.24.2008 01:27 PM

Is the G2R chassis design solid enough for rough bashing? Not knocking it, just curious. It looks lower for better racing CG, but I would think the stock Revo chassis might be better.

But, I too favor a buggy design. Tough as nails and if you want wheelie power, either lock the CD or use really thick oil...

For bashing, i wouldn't advice the use of a g2r or any gmaxx chassis for that matter.

The V1 slipperential won't work with the revo gmaxx conversion btw. You need the V2 to work with the revo.

A better option is to get a savage and get the FLM conversion kit; that's about as ultimate as a basher can be.

I am currently working on getting a savage (waiting on my order from Mike)

i will use;
flm conversion
flm bulkless
8 ofna buggy rear shock
buggy shocktowers for the savage
flextek arms
newera steering knuckles/c-hubs in front;
fixed uprights in the rear.
UE cvd's.

That's about as tough i can think of for a basher.

For $1000.00, i can send you my brand new e-revo with Neu 1515,1Y, MGM 16018 and flightpower EVO25, 5000mAh, 4s. Brand new badlands on ofna half offset wheel, tekno RC sway bar and wing kit, RD logic aluminium diffs and brand new unpaint porline F350 body.

All the brushless stock is brand new.

It is a good deal David, but he does not like Badlands tires! I am sure for a grand you could get him another set of tires!!!

No problems at all:wink: If it's just for the badlands that a guys don't want to take this deal, i can put it the stock Savage XSS dirtbonz tires and wheel without any problems.

Serum, try the GPM knuckles and c-hubs. They are made from 7075-T6 and are tougher than anything else I have tried.

Why no love for the Badlands?

MTBikerTim 01.24.2008 09:45 PM

I've heard on buggies they aren't the best and they aren't really a racing tire but for bashing they seem pretty good to me. Possible a bit too grippy on grass but that's mainly bad driving.

t-maxxracer32 01.24.2008 09:45 PM

was thinking the same thing.
there is absolutely nothing wrong with them.

he must have had a bad experience?

somewhat of the same thread.

in there you will see my NEED lists.

one of them is that the truck has to be bashable.

BL_RV0 01.25.2008 12:44 PM

well I am getting my mill next weekend! So, reggy plans have returned! I have no doubt that this will be a super duper basher!:yipi:

reggy?

revo truggy?

BL_RV0 01.25.2008 04:09 PM

should be rEggy, revo electric truggy. Same chassis design as the ruggy on truggyracers, only electric.
