I took pictures, now I just gotta get them off my phone. Checking screws is a good idea I will check that out but upon looking at it my motor is definately not parrallel to the bottom plate.

No, punch was set at 5 and timing was at 15 like it came from the factory. Maybe your right maybe it was borderline and the extra bit of amp draw from the slightly tighter mesh exceeded the rated...
