After lot's of $$$$$$$$, I've decided I really need to find some good diagnostic techniques for controllers and motors other than a "smoke" test.

There appears to be an issue with the cheaper...

May have found part of the problem though, the 7XL was missing the set screw in the end cap and it was spinning loose. Hopefully didn't damage the motor.

I loved the way it ran with a 8s and 3s Lipo's

feigao 8s, mgm120(overkill)
fun on 2s lipo, insane on 3s lipo
Killed 2 diff gears, one spur gear till I tighted everything...

Well, put new slipper in, same gears, tightened WAY down, pulled wheelies like crazy for about 3 min.

Crunch motor spins, spur spins, wheels don't.
Figured I stripped the idler,.... no, broke the...

Can't remember if it was stock or Kimbrough, different sizes, different brands.

Going to change out slipper disks, they may be worn enough to touch after just a little pad wear.

Thanks, I'm looking at the parts to put a Traxxas slipper system in place also. I think I can get the shaft turned down to fit the top gear for this transmission and I'll look for the Losi parts too....
