Yup, totally worked now. I just needed to loosen the collar on the wave springs. Cleaned up, and fresh diff fluid. Retightened the slipper and now she is whisper quiet.

I did not change the tension on the wave washers... I bet it it was all the way loose, then the side with the spur would get closer towards the diff cup to get the mesh right,...

No, it's mod 1. It's the 46t.

The thickness of the plastic spur is clearly a couple cm wider (see pic) which means I cannot get a good mesh internally inside the slipper cup.

I use 0 drag brake, and 40% brake strength on my RX8. Seems like the perfect set-up for the track. Buttery smooth braking, yet you can still free-wheel into the corners.
