1: Well, the Gorilla chassis sits kinda low so I don't know how well it will do for bashing. Plus, I never liked the way the bulks attached - seemed like a weak point to me. The stock chassis is plenty strong enough and works well with a little fabbing.

2: 8XL on 6s A123 is a tad bit on the high side of the rpm scale, but should be fine as long as you don't max out the speed all the time. Other than that, those cells would be just fine, especially for bashing. Either way will work just fine I think.

3: I would go with the buggy gears. Even at 43/13 (3.3:1 ratio), it will be geared lower than the stock of 2.86:1. The truggy gears would be geared even lower at 4.3:1. You don't want it geared so low that you can't get any speed out of it. :)

4: The UBEC doesn't know (or care) what kind of cells are feeding it as long as you don't exceed the recommended input voltage and output current.
