I just have unusually bad luck with some things and the controllers that I've gotten lately seem to be just another one of those things. MGM says that my controller should ship back to me by the end of the week and I'm sending my Quark back to S&T today.

I just thank goodness for all of these little MMs that I have laying around.

I'm also hoping that my Neu 1512 1.5Y gets here today, although it will probably be tomorrow. I went with the smaller motor because the 8ight T is going to be my race truck. Since I've had it on the track, I haven't bashed with it much. I'm just going to need to go through it and see where I can shave some weight. I believe that with the 1512, I should be able to drop down to a 6Ah battery pack and possibly lighten my battery tray. That should take another 8 ounces off and bring the truck in at under 10 lbs.

I've gotta say that this Losi 8ight T has resparked my interest in running on a track. As Mike says, it has a neutral handling and responds well to minor tweaks and tuning. I just increased my droop in the front and added Holeshot tires. I'm hoping that this will get me that extra little bit of on power steering. If it does, the truck will be done for me. Geared for about 30mph or so, it's wicked, WICKED on a tight track.

I am hoping, at some point, to be able to put it on a longer track. I'd really like to be able to gear this thing up and see what it will do when given the opportunity to flex its muscles.

Oddly enough, with all of the steering and handling that this truck has, I'm looking forward to getting the MGM back. I kind of want to try it out with the free wheeling turned off. It's probably going to make a truck that takes a lot of discipline to drive, but should also take control to a new level.

We'll see.
