This thread moves fast... I gotta agree with Mike in that most people probably will never realize the full potential of the Big Maximum. I'm starting to think that 12 good sub c's can not put out more than 1000 watts for more than a few seconds. You'll need to run at least 24 cells to peak for a few seconds at 2000 watts. Isn't the big maximum rated at 1800 watts continuous? That means that motor could probably handle peaks of close to 4000 watts!!! So, with about 50 sub c cells, you'll get a setup where the power supply and motor are about equal power.
When you get a high power motor, just make sure you have the power supply and controller that will allow you to realize the full potential of that motor.
