I believe you man. Do you have the sticky version of the HPI V-groove tires?
I have both versions of the V-grooves. Zero traction with the harder compound at anything over 30mph.
I had lots of traction with the stickier V-grooves. Just had to tape them up from the inside. They balloon like mad. This is what happend to mine without tape.
