Hey welcome. I always thought those Cen Truggys were nice. I have a Cen Matrix Buggy converted and I love it. It handles really nice and the thing is tough as nails. It takes whatever you put it through and comes back begging for more. I really think Cen did a nice job in the whole Matrix lineup. A guy I bash with has the Matrix arena in Nitro form and its a really nice ride.

I haven't seen one converted yet, but I think it would be a great choice. I actually like the big braces you pointed out. Most buggies and truggys loose alot of chassis stiffness when you remove the radio/servo trays. They use them as a structural element to help keep the chassis flex down. Most conversions either remove or at least cut the tray in half and that can lead to allowing too much chassis flex. Those big braces over the top should prevent that and keep everything in line where it should be.

Keep us posted on the progress I'm interested to see what you come up with.

EDIT: Oh yea... Almost forgot. One thing I do know about the Cen stuff is that the plastic Kyosho spur gears dont fit the stock diff housings. I wound up grabing a hot bodies diff off ebay and using the plastic kyosho spur on it. The nice thing is that it drops right in. No mods needed. And since the truggy normally takes a bigger spur gear it will allow you to spin the diff around either way to give you more motor positioning chioces.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
