Bruce, I know what you mean. I recently got a Neu motor. I got the 1512 and when I first got it, my first impression was that it was short. Very short. I wired it up anyway and at first was disappointed with the performance, but it turned out that I have a mislabeled motor. Once I geared it for a ratio proper for what the motor actually was, the power was unbelieveable. It is amazing what a quality motor can do.

As for picking the front wheels up off of the ground, what settings are you using with the MM? I'm running no punch control with the highest start power setting and the lowest timing. When I ran the Neu in my buggy, I could pull the front wheels off of the ground just about at will. Getting the truck to pull the front wheels off of the ground was just as easy.

BTW, you should check out zeropointbug's thread about his fried Quark. The thread went off on a tangent and we began talking about experimenting with adding capacitors to our speed controllers. I added four caps to my MM and no matter how hard I run it (I am running a 1" fan) it doesn't get over 140 or so; and when I run it, it's on a track for 20 and 30 minutes at a time.

Good going with the Lehner. I'm going to have to pick one up to run with my MM escs. I'd really like a 1940, as a few have said that the 1930 runs hot in a truck.
