I like the smaller motors too. They are almost like driving a hopped up small block, because they rev so quickly and are very responsive. I had forgotten how they feel because I went to the XL motors to try to get away from some of the heat that the L can motors generated.
Now that I got to run the Neu 1512, I'm reminded of how nice they are. My only concern is how well they will hold up during long races in terms of heat. When I was running my Neu (I believe it was a 1400kv motor) on 4S geared 16/44, I was able to get the temps up to 160 in a short period of time. That surprised and worried my. I had initially ordered a 1900kv motor and am waiting for Neu to correct the situation. When I get the 1900kv motor in, I'm going to give it a try and what happens.
