A good lipo cell will hold 3.5v under a 100A load. I know it's comparing apples and oranges, but in the end, the lipo will be better. You should also see a good boost in overall performance over the charge of the battery pack.
I have run a couple of my MMs on 5S. They do OK, but I'd stick with 4S. The MMs will very comfortably handle 4S.
