I run my batteries the same way Cajun does - in one 14 cell brick pack. To help keep the cells from rubbing on each other possibly wearing away the insulating jacket, I seperate each row with a piece of 1/16" thick craft foam. I then seperate each cell in each row with a piece of paper folded in half and cut to size. Once you heatshrink the whole thing, it works well and gives me a piece of mind. I don't want a cell blowing up in my face because the negative "can" of two cells rub and short out cell(s). :)

And, maybe I'm just not a good enough driver to notice, but I have not seen any negative flight adjustments with the weight on the side. You have to remember that the motor, ESC, and steering servo is on the other to offset this and the tranny itself has off-center weight.
