Hey crazyjr are using stock revo diff gears or 1/8th gears (ratio wise), because if there stock then you've got the same ratio as me with the same motor and voltage, and I would have thought my setup would be at least 40mph, I did have a fair bit of tire ballooning though.
I agree with serum and crazyjr about getting the neu instead of a feigao.
When I was looking for a brushless setup for my maxx I was thinking about the neu, but decided to go with a feigao, because of the price.
After I got sick of watching motor temps and burnt out 2 quarks I decided to get a neu. Now nothing gets hot, it has more torque and I can play around a lot more with the gearing without up setting anything. Runtime is a bit better as well.
I don't know about running the 1515 1y (2200kv) on 5s. I think it could definitely do it, but if you want runtime and reliability and aren't worried about just doing speed runs (not that the 1515 2.5d doesn't have good speed), then I would stick to the 1700kv motor for 5s and the 2200kv motor if you use 4s. Someone who has used the 1y on 5s can probably give a better answer though.
I don't think the neu motors are more efficient just because they're 4 pole since the lenher's are very close in efficiency and they are only 2 pole.
