I am using the ofna 65T plastic spur gear and Mike's ten tooth mod1 pinion.
I only used the emaxx transmission once, which was a few years ago. Since then, I have used the t-maxx 2 speed and the revo 2 speed transmissions which use a oneway bearing. It is a matter of getting used to the feel between the e-tranny and the t/r-tranny but I enjoy the freewheel effect of the automatic 2 speeds. I also like the auot shifting factor. When jumping the truck with a automatic two speed tranny you can let off the throttle through the jump and apply brakes or throttle for correction. With the center diff, I must continue to apply throttle through the jumps to keep the wheels rotating or the truck nose dives rapidly from the faint brake effect.
This is one reason I may look into a clutchbell solution for the motor. I do like the center diff though, you don't have to worry about wheelies :)
I raced yesterday and took third :o
Oh well, maybe next time. I can always revert back to the revo tranny if needed.
I still need to figure out my cell count/gear ratio for this center diff.
