what they call 'VBS Pro' has integrated shock towers. they call the non-towered version the VBS-t (towerless). looks like they pulled towerless off the 'bulkless' page, and only
towered is there.
one thing to keep in mind: when/if the VBS does come back in stock, that price doesn't include gears - so you'd have to spend another $200 to get 6 or 8 spider diffs... which brings the grand total up to about $800...just for working VBS.
you can find great used sets, with gears included, for around $500-$600.
