In your preferences, choose "Hide my email" address. I will give my email out to specific people that wanna talk RC. But Never put your email address on an auction. There are hackers lurking Ebay looking for addresses to attempt to hack. They can send you viruses or attempt to slip in through a "backdoor" if your Email program leaves a port open in the background.
Security is an issue to be educated about. Never open ANY link in your email box even if it appears to be from Ebay OR Paypal, especially ones that say your account information needs to be updated. If you are wondering about your account with Ebay or Paypal, open a blank browser and manually log in to the address that way. You will find out everything you need to know, and be safe that you're not being tricked.
Links in emails often take you directly to a site, with an address "close" to appearing right, and the hacker has used the same html code to build the page as Ebay does. The difference is, it's not Ebay. Sites like this are constructed to steal your account. After obtaining your information, a hacker can change your password and lock you out. Who knows where it goes from there? Same with Paypal.
The Ebay feedback system is there to let you get a preview of the person you are dealing with, by seeing how they've dealt with others in the past. A person with (0) is a newbie. IMO, Newbies just opening up with High Dollar Auctions are ones to be cautious about. Building a reputation takes time. A trustworthy reputation takes more time and even more effort.
A good Ebayer will put customer satisfaction first. He will list honestly and accurately his auction descriptions. Then even If/when something goes wrong, he will go the extra step to make the customer happy and make things right.
One morning, I got up sleepy headed. I had a few things to ship. I packed up two things in two separate boxes. Then in the hustle of making sure my kids were getting ready for school. I printed out the labels and put the packages in the mail box on my way off to work.
Come to find out, I had switched those labels, put them on the wrong boxes. Someone who ordered 3 - A123 cells, now had a 7.4v 4000mah Lipo on the way and the other guy was getting the A123 cells when they were expecting a Lipo.
In fixing my mistake, I paid return shipping on both items. I gave a free A123 cell to the one guy along with a female Deans pigtail. The other guy, I paid return shipping and tossed in a few extra bucks. So, I didn't make much on either auction, BUT........the one guy has returned several times and bought things from me.
As an Ebay Seller, it is our responsibility to make sure the customer gets what they pay for. I believe a person is either Honest or their not.
