It is not totally correct to say that vaccines stopping would kill a bunch of children. The biggest reason these diseases are not around anymore is largely due to sanitation. The countries you mention have serious problems with sewage or other issues of cleanliness. However, I can't deny that vaccines did help dramatically reduce diseases. Vaccines are not totally bad - don't get me wrong. I just feel they're not always used in their proper application and that there's too many of them. That's all I'm trying to say.

Yes, vaccines do help, but there are just too many in the USA. Some are not even to protect against those diseases. You are correct about sanitation and yes some countries have awful sanitation problems.
