@Neil - Do you have yours all taken apart yet?

I removed the transmission from the Chassis and opened it up. The gears are much wider. All steel used on the input AND the wide idler gear is steel also.

The output gear is still plastic, but it is MUCH wider than the original design.

Spacers are used on the input shaft and the output shaft where the 2 speed kit gears will go.

There is one thing that really makes me curious here. Take a look at this output gear.

See those little "teeth" sticking out? The ones arranged in a circle?

On this transmission case, there is a "window" that has two screws and a block off plate attached. This is positioned right over those "teeth" on the output gear. hmmmmmm...........

Could this be for some sort of future speedometer upgrade?
