Good lord! You guys are really giving Traxxas a hard time. Look, the revo style slipper will only fit one way, just because the hv maxx shaft is too short for this application does not mean traxxas did that intentionally. They could have designed a 32p gear that works the same way as the 48p rustler/stampede gear, but it was not required for the titan motors to work correctly. Plus the novak motor is too small and not powerful enough to give much benefit over the titan setup. If I am going to spend 250 - 300 on a brushless sytem it better be capable of twice the power/speed of what I am replacing. I am sure tha Novak's hv replacement will be up to the task, as will the castle MMM. And both of those should have 5mm shafts, so pinion placement will not be so critical.
Give Traxxas a break, they are the only MFG with a factory truck that can handle high power brushless.
