Yeah, 12 cells is a bit much for the pede. 8 cells with the 4200 motor is pretty hairy, but it is pretty fun as well. You will definately need some strength in the tranny (aluminum idler/steel diff gear-I can offer both). I run the 4200 in my pede, with 11.1 volt Lipos(extended chassis, maxx conversion with komodo tires) and it is a ton of fun, but too fast if I go full tilt. The pede is a great little truck (fun, inexpensive easy to work on and tough).
