I've seen a few guys do that with turnbuckles and dubro ends. Seems to work really well. Personally, IMO for offroad some flex is good. Every year Motocross manufactures make small changes to their frames to reduce flex in some areas, but add flex in others. If an offroad vehicle is too stiff it will tend to deflect in rough terrain.
