Wow, I feel stupid.
Apparently a long time ago I soldered on little 1" extensions of Deans 12awg to the windings and heatshrinked over them because the 3.5mm bullets wouldn't fit over the ends of the windings. The solder wicked up the short extensions making them very hard. When I tried to bend these it broke at the solder joint at the END of the winding.. meaning #1 my windings are in tact and #2 I'm stupid.
