The rcm drive yokes are well worth the cost. I have a pir on the hv tmaxx and they fit perfectly and are very strong.

Glad to hear that you are going to shortend the motor shaft. That long threaded portion would put quite a strain on the motor bearings and your motor mount may twist up or down.
