Why, I know that traxxas uses a bearing in the revo, but the method of loading the sliper is different. I can see that the bushing provides even force to the spur from the tension spring, a bearing might not be as good at that and the race may fail under the side load. Makes sense to me. I wil leave it as is.

As an aside, is this the best option for a slipper for the savage? I usually set my slippers reasonably tight as I do not do extreme jumps. I can see that this design does make the plastic spur prone to heating up. Is there another option for a 52t or larger spur? I need to be at least 52t due to motor to battery clearance.
