Yeah, only the old emaxx tranny will fit the Gmaxx chassis, and there are several on ebay at the moment- expect to pay about $30-40 ish. Thankfully the revo tranny will sell for about the same, so no loss really. If you havent already, concider getting the single speed conversion for the emaxx tranny, or the coupler at least, unless you are after a 2speed tranny. The RC-monster steel idlers are a must though...
