I don't know that the caps would make for more bottom end punch, I remember a kid on URC putting a massive one that he found in a dead TV on his Rustler or something and it sucked. When he gave it full power, the cap had to charge up and slowed the vehicle. Not sure if that'd be the same for you, but just saying what happened last time someone tried it.
