My motor mounts are made with carbon fiber. It's great for strength and stiffness, but of course it does not conduct heat very well. Aluminum is a good heat conductor. And I have nothing against alum mounts... I just happen to have some good scraps of very strong CF and I like working with it except that it dulls tools really fast.

But... imo it doesn't matter that much. If you want to draw heat off the motor you can put a fan on it and also have it touching the main alum chassis. (could even use thermal paste etc..)
