Bearing in mind the HvMaxx is about 3 or 4 years old, I think its safe to say people have used it in the old E-maxx
I use the original hv4400 motor with an upgraded sintered rotor in my Gmaxx too, and considering my truck weighs in at 13lbs, it does quite well if you gear down a touch over what Novak recommends. For the price though, there are much better options to go with- read around.
