Something simple, but the FAQ at Castle states that the symptoms you describe can be caused by batteries that aren't up to the task. If this is the issue and battery replacement is infeasible, it may help to increase punch control to something like 50%+. This may help limit the huge current surge somewhat making the batteries work a little less.
