Movie and pics of my plettenberg powered savage - 02.20.2005, 05:00 PM

here is the movie,

I finally finished my skidplate, new motorplate and battery mounts.
Here you can see my new skidplate, i made it, because i had problems with keeping the center drivetrain clean.

(if you look closely, you can also see my new project, 'wheeliebar')

Because i wanted to get rid of the rear bumper, i made the hingepins so, that they are held in place by the skid, the hingepins for the upper plate are notched in and held in place with two M3 screws;

here is how my new battery holder works;
I made a plastic strip and placed it inside the heatshrink. There is velcro fastening that goes over that.

Fits in perfectly in these new, low CG holders;

Also made a new motorplate (needed a new one, because i sold my other motorplate with a savage to Froghn) I forgot to order the normal Nitro aluminium motorplate, so that's why i had to made the X, that's between the TVP's now.. Both are made from 10 mm thick aluminium
i needed a new place to hold my 18.97, in my opinion i don't need a fan anymore, because of the mechanical brake, and i placed the 18.97 in the airflow of the plettenberg.

And finally, i got an e-maxx, with 8 of these beautys on (ofna 9.5 shocks with piggybacks) using 4 on the savage, and 4 on my new e-maxx project

The emaxx came with this body; (and the wheels mounted) RPM titan rimms with Proline Mulcher tires

This is the thickest body i had had in hands;
