All you really need is to pick up a 3.3 chassis, I got mine on Ebay for $20. Then you'll need the 3.3 steering linkage, and the 3.3 center shafts. Grab the motor brace also if you don't have one already.

I got everything I needed for less than $50. No reason to buy that $100 kit.
