The faster a race car driver drives the more attention he pays and the car is basically glued to the ground with so much down force. I remember when I told my grandfather my kart wasn't fast enough. Well the old guy came to the US and bought a small turbo (He said it was made for Harley) and the mechanic found a way to add it to my kart and let me tell you, it was fantastic to race a 125CC against the big dogs and we had to add a roll cage after I rolled a few times. With the higher speeds one would have to come out with new technologies to keep the cars safer and afterwards that technology would be used in our overweight unsafe road cars. Group C was safe and to see some cars go over 250mph was just amazing.
