building a tranny from scratch will cost you a lot more than buying complete one. why don't you pick up the newer 3905 emaxx tranny and do the mod that stumblin did? I'm also working on my erevo build and have decided to go down that route. got one off ebay for $45 bucks.

I got an extra 3906 emaxx tranny that came with my erevo roller. will consider selling that to you if i'm not successful with stumblin's mod.
