Aluminum shaft was stupid idea by traxxas at least, you can twist it with your bare hands
As for dual pletts, they are cool looking and great motors, but if I were you I would connect them together (with strong magnetic friction (pole cogging...) it would be very simple to match them) and run from single MGM ESC.
