Sorry Mike… As the author of this thread; I completely understand where you’re coming from and appreciate the intended purpose of this forum as it relates to your business. In fact I thought twice about airing this issue here as I too question if this is the proper venue; but the reality is this user is selling items advertised on your forum, therefore anybody intending to do business with him needs to be aware of this feedback.
I too strongly encourage/support/request that you continue to allow the user community to post private RC related sales items on your forum. A simple sub-forum, dedicated to the transactions of private sales, with very direct liability disclaimers to help protect and separate the RCM business from any responsibility towards the private deals, would solve this problem. Many other forums do it with a single sticky at the top releasing all liability. Heck, I’ll even volunteer to help moderate it.
