I don't really see how that is possible. Are you saying you burnt a trace inside the ESC ? I think it is likely something else is wrong. There is really no way to pull those traces out, unless you can see the damage where the wires solder in on the front of the ESC.
You said you "connected" the "on/off circuit" by twising the wires. Just de-solder the wires where they connect to the PCB, and solder the two points together. I would not count on the wires to be in good condition after you drug the switch along the ground. One of them might be broken inside the insulation.
