GP's are good for about 100 amps with minimal voltage drop. According to some of Promods tests with his eagletree, I noticed that during peaks of 100 amps, the batts were sagging in voltage to about 1.0 volts each. Lipos with the same MAH rating can't give that kind of amperage with as low of voltage drop yet... 9 GP 3300's are more powerful than a 20C 3200 mah Lipo. 8s3500 is roughly equivalent to 18-20 good sub C's.
My next emaxx is going to be 10S 4400 mah lipos rated at 12C continuous and 16C burst. 37 volts and 70 amps.... That's uh.. over 2000 watts w/o even sweating!!!
I was WAITING ALL FREAKING summer for a high voltage Castle Creations controller, but it looks like I'm going to have to get a 40.160 or a 32.80. I think the 32.80 should be enough to take me to the 70 mark and the 40.160 if I decide to go 12S eventually. Later on this fall, I'll start posting some updates. I'm golfing right now.
