The frame will not be as hard as you think. Take some 1/8 think luon & tack it to the table it will bend very easy as long as the round part is not super tight . but put some masking tape on it first so the urathane wont stick. It will act as a mold release. I do this when i work with fiberglass to make kick panels. I would go to HOME DEPOT & ask in the paint section. They make stuff for this purpose. You want something that will dry pretty clear so you can see your caps. Thats why i suggested painting the table first.
