Paint it red, that will make it faster...
And if you paint it with a darker color red on the lower portion, and lighter on the top, the phase shift of the two shades will cause down force, but will not add drag. Plus the added speed differential between the two shades will aid in cornering speed, as well as keeping the trucl low and level over jumps. Plus most of your competition will become very scared at the sight of the truck. Just do not use red wheels, as this may cause excessive wheel speed and snapped axles (unless they are red too).
Not sure if you guys ever run on wet tracks. Spraying some nonstick cooking spray on the ties will keep the mud from building up in the tread recess. (may not work with some tires) You can also spray the bottom of the chassis and the suspension arms. It will help the dirt not to stick, and aid in cleanup.
