I don't know David... I'm getting REALLY close.

RTR, with the body, battery (4350mah 5s), Neu 1512, and even the body clips its only 7.14 lbs!!!! The new 808 is really light. I might even be able to shave a few more grams when I install the body that came with the 808. I'm using a pretty thick/heavy one that was on another buggy until I can get to painting the new body.

The weight without battery is 5.89lbs.

On 3s with a smaller motor I could probably get it sub 7lbs RTR.

EDIT:

Sorry for the derail rootar. I'm with Glassdoctor. I think it can work as long as you dont expect it to be whipping up on the nitros the way a more properly sized setup would.
