I thought I'd jump in and note that in my experience, bashing seems to draw more amps than racing and is harder on the setup. It really does depend on the driving though.
However, for me, while racing I am very smooth with the throttle, rolling on and such and always trying to put the power to the ground and not let any go to waste (wheel spin).
When bashing, I'll punch it just because I can and just because if the truck wheelies/flips or spins out it doesn't really matter. And for that, I get like 10 minutes bashing now while I get a good 15+ on the track.
