I don't doubt that 1512 for truggy and 1509 for buggy can work. The problem is that there is not enough proof that it will indeed work. I would not be comfortable making that recommendation to someone until I see more proof, or better yet, try it myself. I used a 1512 2D (MBX5 buggy) last summer and experienced motor temps as high as 180*F after long mains on hot days. This is with conservative gearing.
