Depends on the current. Deans for anything that's going to draw ~30A continuous/100+A peak. For higher currents, either direct solder or 5.5/6mm bullet connectors.
The bad thing about bullets is that they are harder to "key" to prevent misplugging. And even if you do alternate the male/female ends, the battery side connectors can accidentally short on something when disconnected.
Deans really should make a larger connector. Make it the same way, just a little heftier and a little longer to make it easier to grip.
