I don't notice any performance drop at all, in fact, my 7s1p pack seems to get equal power all the way through... I attribute this to the fact that it warms up a bit and that is why the performance holds up all the way through.

BTW, you have to remember that lipo's are only being discharged to ~90% DOD, and A123's are 100%...
