Thanks..
I bought that aluminum E-Maxx Tranny case a while back from GPM. If enough people want one, I may just get me a small bulk order but I would have to see what colors I should stock as long as I can get enough people.
I might even have some of these little servo holders as well. I have 3 types for now made due to the difference in servo tabs from Airtronics to Hi-tec and etc.
I am thinking of getting a small aluminum spur gear/motor pinion cover for my Super G-Maxx so I can grease up the spur and pinion to keep some of the grease within the casing to keep it smooth due to the fact that it is a metal to metal mesh.
Also using 4030 heat treated steel for the spur and pinion. It is a very hard metal but we will see how it goes. Yes I do know and hear alot about the negatives of metal to metal on spur/pinion.
Below is a PSI rating for each of the different types of metal that is commonly used.
4340 heat treated 210,000psi
plain steel 63,800psi
6061 aluminum 45,000psi
Brass 55,800psi
303 Stainless 100,000psi
6AL4V Titanium 138,000psi
Anyhow...
13 lbs.. well its not that bad.. Even at that weight, it flies and is really quick due to the Monster Motor (BigMaxximum). Oh by the way I have slightly bent my Savage wheelie bar set up from Integy on my E-Maxx (slightly modded to fit my E-Maxx). Even if it is Integy, its still a slightly thick piece of aluminum but with all that power on tap it still bends.
