im still going to be using the gmaxx lower plate, i just had it off to fit the CD mount, and didn't get it back on for the pics. It was really only a mock up in the pics, you can see that i only have four screws holding on the plate instead of eight, and theyre all different lengths.
I had to make the CD plate because if i mounted the CD on the 'floor,' (lower gmaxx plate) i wouldn't be able to get clearence between the motor and the upper back plate, if that makes sense...  also, the 44t kyosho spur fits EXACTLY in between the frame rails, like perfectly, not even half a mill on each side to spare, so i had to raise the CD for clearence there as well.
i think i've answered your question  , if not, please feel free to clarify. Im open to any suggestions/questions/comments/criticisms, after all, it can only make the truck better.
