It weighs just over 15 pounds with the battery. I run a 52/13 ratio for bashing and the motor gets warm, not hot. The same with the ESC, just warm to the touch. I tried a 52/20 ratio for a speed run and just did not have the space or the control to get to full throttle. LOL-at the end of the run the truck tumbled for about 30 feet even after slowing down. I don't know enough to set up for high speed runs, but I might learn to, they are a blast! I have my Eagletree in my heli but it only goes to 100 amps max. I'm sure it's pulling more than that. I just bought a video camera so when I can get it away from the wife I will shoot a few clips.
Thanks again to Castle for a great product and thanks, also, to HPI. This Savage drivetrain is amazingly tough! If you do a conversion, get the diffs with the alloy case and steel pin inserts then add the optional hardened ring and pinion setup (R+P is $30 a set but well worth it). For the tranny, the Hot Racing 44 tooth hardened steel internal spur gear is a must. It all adds up to a very robust drivetrain.
