I am going to bug a bud with a 501 to check out that mod though, thanks for the tip. I know one guy locally has broken a lot of arms... I am sure he'd like to check this out, so am going to post a small quote on our local forum to show him. We have quite a few 4wd mods. It's either B44 or ZX5 being run, with a couple XX4's and one XXX4 out there.
Saddle packs turns some people off. The guy I get the 4800 saddle lipos also gets 6000 mah saddle packs. I might want one for practice. A lot of the guys that got the ZX5 liked them for stick packs.
The shock shafts are what were a pain for me. tbh I am running XX4 shafts in front. I had a head on with an 8th scale and couldn't find shafts in stock anywhere. I heard the xx4's were a fit so got a couple of those. they are a tad longer so I added an o ring inside and out of the shock body. it still had the same travel but saves the inside from the clip banging on full travel. since I changed to the xx4 shafts, I haven't had a problem. the stock shafts were snapping off on the thread end, right where they started. The 18B has the shocks up front the same and I have bent shafts and added the rpm front bumper and solved that. almost tempted on the B44 to make something similar... lawn darting will break an rc though.
so after ripping my front end off, parts were under $10 to repair and I have a spare front arm left over. Sure like how cheap Associated parts are when you need them
