I don't think I'd run the monster without a fan, especially down here in Texas. It's been silly hot here lately, no wind, high humidity, etc. Not much temperature differential to cool an ESC. Active cooling is a must I think for larger vehicles. With a fan, you can run without worries, without one you'd probably be checking pretty often.

I vote for the "no worries" option.
My bad, I meant in my setup it shouldn't go beyond 110 F.
